altruistic-reiki-logo-copy.jpgHaving created my business "Altruistic Reiki" some years ago, I thought it was about time that I had my own logo to reflect the calm and serenity that a program of reiki and Bach flower remedies can bring to our busy lifestyles.  They both intend to help us focus on our well being, by helping us to move from a negative emotional state into a more positive one.

Edward Bach and Usui Sensei's works has seen both myself and family members through some distressing times and allowed us to reflect and take account of our own feelings. Bereavement, stress, overwork, anxiety,  fear and pain often contribute to the pressures of life.  They all play a part in the feeling of the inability to cope, and therefore create the mixed up emotions we end up feeling.  This is where a practitioner can help with a series of affordable non-intrusive therapy sessions, to help to deal with where you are in life and bring some peace to your mind.  With that peace comes healing or an ability to cope with long term illness.

I felt it was important to be able to help others, so started on a course of learning, first in reiki and then a little later in the flower remedies.  Altruistic Reiki was  set up as an affordable practice for all to use, making it easier to continue with a course of treatments to help you get back onto your feet and the ability to return for therapy whenever needed.

It is far easier to heal or continue on in a difficult situation, when feeling more positive about yourself.  You may find ways of moving on and out of that situation, or just more able to cope better as you are.  When emotions and health problems engulf us, we can become blind to the answers or just less able to cope with everyday life.

Reiki is an complementary therapy, where the practitioners hands pass on the gentle universal healing energy that you may be missing.  The helping hand and energy work should bring you back to your place of calm, along with working on healing the body, it's almost like a mother holding an upset child and a little later the child is running about happy again.  It is said to be the helping hand that lifts you from turmoil, into a more balanced understanding comfortable state.

Bach Flower remedies are a talking therapy that looks at the underlying emotions creating the turmoil in your mind, which makes you feel unbalanced.  They help you understand where those emotions are coming from and can help you move forward in your health as well as your life decisions.  They are an amazing way of finding out what triggers you and gives you a way to cope and move forward with whatever ails you.

Take away the mental strain and the answers can be more easily found.

Meditation practice is very useful along with therapy, although many like myself find it difficult to sit still and empty our minds.  There are other techniques that can help you work towards finding calm in a busy life, such as the 21 breaths meditation and reciting Tibetan mantras, such as Om Mani Pad Me Hum. In these practices, you concentrate on the breath or mantra, rather than the empty mind.  There are bracelets and mala beads (often known as prayer beads), that you can use to count your breaths or recitations with, without having to focus on the counting.

These can be found on my Tibetan Dawn website if you are interested in adding this type of practice to your well being     Mala (prayer beads)     21 breath wrist malas
