Product Description

CHAKPUR tools are used by Tibetan monks to make beautiful Tibetan Sand Art Mandalas. This set of FIVE fairly traded PROFESSIONAL brass tools that have been handmade in the Tibetan camps of Southern India. When a metal rod is grated against the  funnel, it creates a vibration that allows the sand to trickle from the opening. 
 
Each tool has been carefully weighted and has a different size hole to facilitate use in detailed sand art work. The funnels are approximately 16 inches long and are designed with a scoop at the top for loading the sand without mess.

    it was two years ago i sought out chakpur artists tools for making sand art, the wait was well worth it, the high quality of these handmade tools is exquisite.

    The tools arrived promptly and were exactly as described. I have only used them once so far so am in need of much further practice. Having seen the results in the hands of expert monks using exactly these tools time will tell ...

    the chakpur are of a decent quality,no kinks and easily used with some practice and haveing the correct sand texture, the flow is smooth and consistant,a big plus,Will be adding on to the collection soon. The Royal mail is very fast ,right to my doorstep in Australia,amazing for an overseas mail system!!!!!!!!

    the delivery was super fast. between nr 2 and 3 i cant really see a difference. on the nr 1 is a little hole. but its working ok.
